Lovable Cookies

Yesterday I had some girlish girls over to make decorations for an upcoming party:) We also made some cookies  that were delicioso and oso good :)

For the whipped cream we used:
1 cup heavy cream,
1 teaspoon vanilla extract and
1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
and a whole small far of strawberry jelly

For the cookies we used:

1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cups margarine

2 eggs and
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

We blended the heavy cream, vanilla extract and sugar till it was whipped creamy and then we folded in the strawberry jelly.
As for the cookies we creamed the wet ingredients in a small bowl. We put the dry ingredients in a bigger bowl, stirred them together with a fork and then added the wet ingredients into the big bowl and just mixed them all together. They turned out very well:) Here are some Mast-her-pieces:)

The best part was the apple slices that we cut into hearts with our heart shaped cookie cutters. Sooo Lovable:) I think I want some more now:) Hehe:)
Well everyone, that's all for now:) I hope you have a day that's wonderful and full of wonder:)

Painting with RED Homemade Paint

Have you ever made your own paints?

I have wanted to make my own paints since I was a child. I am just getting around to it today. Yeah I know...Supah Slackah. I made it with my 3 year old daughter thanks to a wonderful recipe by Deanna over at Little House In the Suburbs. You will need.

2tsp baking soda
2Tbsp white flour
2tsp sugar
2Tbsp water
1tsp of citric acid or 1 pkg of unsweetened drink mix (our choice)
food coloring ( we went with red)
ice cube tray

---We put the baking soda, flour, sugar and kool-aid (drink mix) in a bowl and stirred it to mix it a little.
--- We added the water and waited for the fizzy fun to stop before scooping spoonfuls into the ice cube tray.
--- Then we added the food coloring ( I couldn't tell you how much,
cuz  Tasneem wasn't measuring it out) hehe.
We stirred it while it was in the trays and then just started painting. We added water to create different shades. It was cool:) We are letting  the rest of the paint dry so that we can use it at a later date. Deanna said let it dry a couple of days. So, yeah. We'll try. I love that the paintings that we have made smell like tropical punch. I wanna paint something else! More grown upish. Buuuut..this isn't bad...If you like this sorta thing....
This one is my fave:)
I love that we were able to do this project together. My girlish girls had a good time:) I did too:) Do something fun today! Take care

Do what you can. With what you have. Where you are.

Hey everyone :) I have decided to begin this blog with this wonderful quote because I am/was terrible, terrible, terrible when it comes leaving things as they are. I have always wanted everything, absolutely everything to be ready before I was content. This project here ---->   Is my reminder that I will make serious effort to change that about my self.  Hehe!  Sometimes I may not have all the supplies I need. Sometimes I have just a little bit of time but I have enough to get by and it can be fun to see what you can do when you challenge yourself. I used Picasa to make that picture up there.  Picasa is soooo easy:) Give it a try:)
P.s. Visit us on our Facebook Page,ok? hehe:)  It's called Queen's Kids:)  Take care:)
