Something for A's closet

Asalaamu Alaikum everyone! :) A the Artist and I made a few things for her closet . Here are some pics of the paint loving process:)

I made these (We call them pantaloozahs) for her from an old skirt. 

So I decide to do it again from scratch.

We used an old pizza box to make her a back pack

We used the same fabric that we used to make her pantaloozah:) 

A put her artistic touches on it:)

 This Halal Doll became a pendant for her hijab.

 This one with the "gold" hair adorned her back pack.

 We made this button for the back pack. She thought it would make a nice ring as well:)
So you will probably see this again inshaallah:)

We bought this paper pack from Micheal's Arts and Crafts and used some of it for the inside.

I made her a matching vest and used some of the fabric scraps to dress up an old t-shirt.

That's about it:)

 She's pointing to a squirrel that was in the trash can at the park. LooL!

Mission to the Asian Market!

We went on a hunt to find our favorite Seaweed. Usually we go to a Korean market but this time we decided to try some place new. NEW! Oh yeah the stuff was definitely new to us :)

Some of the items we have pictured here we bought and some we didn't.

We didn't buy these noodles. We just liked the way they look with Amatullah's gloves:) Look at her
reaching for something else on the shelf...smh...

We bought these delicioso flute wafers.

We didnt buy this but it was surely colorful:)

Didn't buy this but dude looks cool! LooL!

We bought these but haven't cooked them yet. They are rice noodles. More on these later inshallah.

We bought these. They are also rice noodles but they are much thinner than the other noodles. I am actually making them right now so, I have to be brief. I love that these noodles are Gluten Free. (The way we have to be) That rhymed :P

We didn't buy these pumpkin seeds. Isn't that little pumpkin head girl cute! LooL!

We didn't buy this but Amatullah liked the way it fit in her hands so of course it needed to be in this photo shoot.

Didn't buy these but I remember drinking them while living in Georgia.

I don't remember....Thakirah says it was poptart thingies. She said they asked if we could buy them and I said no..so..yeah.

Oooh I ssooo could'a bought these bit..I didn't...they are sooo yummy.

I bought these. A friend of mine wanted to try them and people were sayin g they were so yummy. Unfortunately I accidently froze them. So, they looked to weird to eat :/

Uuum...we didn't buy these turtles...

I wish that we had bought this frozen mix.

I wonder what these taste like.

Aasiyah wanted these black beans soo bad. Should'a bought em but I DON'T like cooking beans

We bought the lump candy. It's lasting very long since it is just a big fat sugar rock with no taste

They didn't have our seaweed but it was nice to have gone there. I don't think I have ever been to a Chinese market before. I think we will go again Inshaallah to get more of their noodles and they also had some spices I am curious about.
